The Genealogical Message of Beatrix Frangepán

Beatrix Frangepán (* c. 1480, +(27 March) 1510) from the Counts of Veglia (Krk), Modrus and Zengg was a descendant one leading families Hungarian–CroatianHungarian–Croatian late Medieval Kingdom. She became wife Crown Prince János Corvinus-Hunyadi later Margrave Georg Hohenzollern-Brandenburg. From her first marriage, she had three children. One these, Kristóf, who died young, buried together with his father in Lepoglava (Croatia). Recently, successful archaeogenetic analyses have been performed on remains Kristóf Corvinus-Hunyadi; course these studies, family background Kristóf’s mother, Frangepán, an important factor. The present study provides nine-generation tree Frangepan as complementary data pool for eventual expansion studies. Preliminary results archaeological supposed grave are also reported.
